Restore Bondi Beach Primary school in time for the new school term! That was the mammoth challenge set for our team after fires caused $2 million worth of fire damage to most areas the historic school, including four classrooms, storerooms, a hallway and roof.
The Spotless team coordinated Service Delivery Partners, Insurance loss adjustors, the school community, and the Department of Education to rebuild historic Bondi Primary School in five weeks.
At its peak, teams worked two eight-hour shifts with up to 40 contractors working to restore the school in time for student to return to school for the new school term.
Dean Slattery, Director, Sydney Asset Management Unit said “The Spotless response to this project is unprecedented for us and really appreciate the efforts of the Spotless team and their SDPs. It was amazing to watch.”
Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said “It’s been a great team effort by about 40 construction workers, tradespeople and suppliers and has resulted in the school being restored to top condition within a very short timeframe.”
