Local Hero: Matt Elliot

During the day, Matt Elliot is a Spotless electrician, but more recently, he has been helping to deliver medical supplies and evacuate residents, their pets and livestock in the Hawkesbury region of Western Sydney due to the floods. As a Field and Flood Rescue coordinator for the Blacktown SES Region, Matt and his unit have been working tirelessly responding to emergency call-outs for assistance and over the course of last week Matt and the NSW SES Blacktown – Flood Rescue team have been on several news outlets talking through the work that they do within the community and reality of the floods in NSW.
